Aretto Kids Shoe Size Chart

Size Guide Info

At Aretto, we didn't follow the usual sizing system because, honestly, it doesn't always work well for growing kids. Rather, we developed an S0 to S6 system that is more in line with how kids actually grow — it takes into account both age and foot length, so you're not depending just on one.

However, one thing to keep in mind is that foot length is more important. Two children can be the same age and still need completely different sizes. That's perfectly normal. That's why this kids shoe size chart focuses on measurements you can trust — not just estimates.

STEP BY STEP

How to measure your child's foot

You don't need any fancy equipment — just a sheet of paper, a pen, and a little patience. Once you have the measurement, match it with the kids shoe size chart above to find the closest size.
Step 01

Place paper on floor

Ask your child to stand on it normally. No tiptoeing — just nice and relaxed.
Step 02

Trace around the foot

Gently trace around their foot, keeping the pen straight and close to the skin.
Step 03

Measure heel to toe

Measure from the back of the heel to the tip of the longest toe in centimetres.
A FEW SMALL THINGS THAT MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE
• Remember to measure both feet. One is often slightly larger than the other.
• Try doing this in the evening when your kids' feet are a little swollen.
• Use the socks your child usually wears with shoes.
• You don't have to get it perfect — just close enough to make a better decision than guessing.
AFTER YOU RECEIVE THE SHOES

Fit check guide

The true answer depends on how the shoe feels and how your child moves in it, even with the best kid's shoe size chart. After putting on the shoes, pause to examine and note:

Signs of a good fit

✓ There should be some space, not tightness, when you gently press close to the toes
✓ Examine the sides — the foot shouldn't appear pressed or overflowing
✓ Make sure the shoe's heel sits comfortably and doesn't slip too much
✓ Above all, observe how they walk — natural movement, no hesitation

Signs of a bad fit

✕ You notice red marks after removing the shoes
✕ Your child says it feels tight (even if you're not sure — trust them)
✕ The shoes are harder to put on than before
✕ Their walking looks slightly different or uncomfortable

Children don't pretend to be comfortable. They typically move differently if something doesn't feel right. Sometimes the signs are subtle; other times, they're very obvious. When in doubt, the kids shoe size chart can help you double-check if it's time to move up.

FAQ's

What are kids' shoe sizes by age? +

Age gives a rough idea, but it’s not always reliable. An infant shoe size chart that includes foot length will give you a much better answer.

How to check a child's shoe size? +

The easiest way is to measure their feet at home and compare them with a youth shoe size chart. It only takes a couple of minutes and avoids a lot of guesswork later.

Which shoe size chart is used in India? +

Most brands use UK or EU sizing in India. Aretto simplifies this by combining everything into one child's shoe size chart, so you don’t have to convert sizes back and forth.

Should I base my child's shoe size on age or measurement? +

Always go with measurement. Age can guide you, but the infant shoe size chart works best when you match it with actual foot length.

Are shoe sizes the same for girls and boys? +

Yes, at this stage, there’s no difference. Both can follow the same youth shoe size chart, depending on their age and foot length.

How do the shoes expand? +

Unlike rigid shoes, Aretto shoes adapt as your kid’s feet grow, helping maintain a comfortable fit without becoming tight over time. So they are comfortable and snug on their feet.

What materials are used in the shoes? +

The shoes are made using lightweight, flexible, and durable materials that move naturally with your child's feet. The upper is crafted from soft, breathable fabric to help keep little feet comfortable throughout the day, while the cushioned foam insole provides gentle support and shock absorption.

Can the shoes be washed? +

Yes, you can simply place them in the washing machine. A gentle cycle with cold water is perfect.

Is there a warranty for the shoes? +

Yes, it covers basic manufacturing issues. For exact details, kindly check the policy.
