Infant Shoes

Light, bendy, soft, basically the least shoe possible while still being a shoe. First infant shoes should get out of the foot’s way more than anything else, because that’s what lets the muscles and bones do what they’re supposed to do.

Indoors, not really, bare feet on a safe surface is still the best thing for them at this age. Outside is a different story though, and that’s where something like Aretto Tyny earns its place, protecting little feet without getting in the way of how they move.

The shoes are usually the problem, not the baby. When the fit is genuinely right and the material isn’t stiff or heavy, most babies stop fighting it pretty quickly because it just doesn’t bother them anymore.

Outside, feet need protection from surfaces a baby has no way to read or prepare for. Get that part right with the correct infant footwear and you also get better balance and steadier early movement as a side effect, which is not a small thing.
